Not sure if its the same where you are but on the Goldy the conditions have been perfect, small but super fun and some of the best afternoon sunsets for quite some time.

i really think the goldy has got some of the best foiling conditions available anywhere. If foiling was a thing back when I lived on the goldy I might have never left. In those days all the goldy had to offer me was surfing, partying and wearing my polo shirt collar popped up ! ( I suppose it wasn't that bad)

Whilst WA (Perth) can't match the Goldy for foiling waves, for down winding WA is up there with some of the best places in the world, so I'll take that.

As a WA downwind sup paddler, surfer and kitesurfer, I used to hate it when summer disappeared and the winds started dropping as the surf is not that great in Perth, last year though I really started to get into foil surfing and now fully agree with Jacko, this is the best time of the year, even on this side of the country.
The water is still warm, so many days the wind is light offshore and at times golden glass, foiling has opened up heaps of previously unsurfed spots, getting out of town or owning a boat helps though, whereas they have it on their doorstep.

I may be a little bit biased but I am quite happy to have the sun setting over the ocean.
