$5 worth of bait wasted.
Oh, well, at least the beer was cold.

Strange I set it on public and it automatically returns to private.
Will delete and try again from the beginning.

Nice, looks like a good spot. I'm actually heading up that way in a couple of days. Know what the depths are like in Canaipa at the moment? Sounds more appealing than the main channel but looks pretty shallow in places.

Hi Future cruiser
The boat in the vid is a trailer sailer with a 400 cm draft with keel up.
On a rising tide nowhere on the passage from Morton Bay to Southport is a problem.
No sure about the depth of Canaipa.
I suggest you input you draft, departure and destination into Navionics and let it do the math.
Your draft will determine where you can anchor if you want to stop over somewhere.
The vid was taken on a week day and as you can see, no crowd.

Thanks Gary, have heard from some locals that channel dredging in Canaipa was completed this year to take it to a minimum 2.5 metres LAT, I only draw 1.3 so I reckon I'll give it a go. Afternoon high tides should help too. Cheers!
