I fitted a new rubber skirt 12 months ago to my saildrive using Sikaflex 291. I dived under a few weeks ago and noted it has let go on two sides. I have had this problem previously. Has anyone had success using a different adhesive?

I'm also considering replacing the rubber flap with a poly style board and fixing it as per photo below. You could also seal around the leg to prevent water entering under the motor platform. Any thoughts on that idea?

I would be interested in the poly one anybody have experience with them?
