Giving an old boat new life is not only ecologically sound, it's also immensely satisfying. Like many of us, you may believe that some older cruising hulls make better yachts for serious seafaring, so Ziggy and Nat's 39ft Oyster (instagram/youtube @sailing_squalo) is a strong case in point. They aren't skimping on the hard graft, and Wessex Resins are enabling them to take on some big jobs. In the same yard we'll visit a time-tested wood-epoxy hull with her designer and builder, John Negus. Proper Essex and Polish 'can-do' here, with some top tips as a bonus. Inspirational stuff all round.

Nice to see people who know what they are doing. Cheers Phil
