Hi Serenite, well done with this. I have a broken sun cover that I need to replace too. I looked at Whitworths online but I couldn't see spare Olympic 135 covers listed though? And I also have a bubble in mine, so the Johnsons Baby oil trick is appreciated.
I rang Drummoyne Whitworths and they ordered it in for me, I've always found them pretty helpful too.
Another tip which might be worth sharing.
When I first started researching, some posts I found said the Olympic couldn't be refilled/topped up. But after unclipping the compensation module there was a hard plastic nipple on the bottom of my compass. In the centre of that nipple was a softer plastic, like filler. So I ground that filler out with a dremel type tool. Beneath the softer plastic filler is a brass or bronze screw (1/8" or maybe 3/16").
I filled mine through that with a syringe, put the screw back in and nipped it up. I didn't replace the plastic filler over the screw, maybe I should have for a perfect seal but it's been sitting upright at home for a couple of weeks and hasn't leaked yet.
All of this applies to my Olympic 135 which I presume is standard but I'm no expert.
