Nice looking boats, sort of modern take on the Corsair. I'm guessing a small fleet there.

Vipers have actually been around for quite some time in North America since the 90s I believe. Took a while to be seen downunder....Certainly no relation to Corsairs.
The Worlds are in Perth soon to be sailed out of South of Perth Yacht Club and will see boats arrive in containers from the USA soon.

125s normally race out of Nedlands YC & South of Perth Yacht Club on Sunday's, East Fremantle YC on Saturday's.
We will have about 11 or 12 Racing on Saturday morning at EFYC as a support act to the "Rumble in The Reach" which features the Sportsboats (including Vipers) in the afternoon.
All racing held in front of the club so great place to watch from.....and take pics.
There is normally live commentary also which can be interesting.

"Rumble in The Reach" sound more like a wrestling match than a sailing race.

What can we expect - some push and shove at the buoy roundings?

As its sailed in Blackwall Reach (hence the event name) section of the River the sailing is in confined (and often busy) waters with gusty/shifty breeze. This can make for very spectacular sailing and often throws up surprises for the spectators.
When a strong seabreeze kicks in the Sportsboats can be a lot of fun to watch....plenty of carnage is usually the result.
Dinghy Racing starts at 0955 and the Sportsboats at 1330ish
