One cool point is that la vagabond and SV Delos have more views than the Americas cup coverage.
There is a direct link through the increase of google searches with the Oceanis Beneteau as when SLV gained popularity as the same increase in people searching the Amel brand as Delos got movement.
Now to put that into advertising dollars I am not sure what Luis Vuitton is spending but Beneteau and Amel have got massive amount of exposure at no cost to them thanks to SLV and Delos, which has to be great for sailing.
Since Outreamer announced the partnership with SLV they had the biggest spike in their history and it's remained higher than previous levels of interest. So giving SLV a million dollar plus Cat at a reduced price and setting everything up has been the best bang for buck advertising they could ever imagine. Considerably more people have looked at Outreamer than the current Americas Cup.
Its crazy that these susccesfull bloggers have have given the declining yachting industry the biggest shot in the arm seen for quite awhile even though it's probably not reflected at our own local clubs.
