Just a question I think I know the answer to but I would like confirmation

A 4 race series where the rule is you can drop your worst score is held over a period of 4 months between 2 clubs and at the end of the 4 th race 2 boats have a 1,2 and 3 to their name after the first three races and in the last race one gets a 6 and the other a 7

They both decide to drop the last race so their series scores are tied on 6 each

looking at the racing rules of sailing below it appears you then look at the last race regardless of whether it was the one they decided to drop and the best placed boat takes out the series

Can someone in the know confirm this is correct
