I have in my possession a good 160 amp battery that needs a good home I am in repair mode and updating my Walker H28 and a work college gave me this Calcium 160 amp battery I already have two and will not be charging any battery for a month of so before I finish rewiring my boat.
The Battery is 500 cm long by 200 wide and 200 high its in good order and its free just pick it up near Frankston if you would like it PM me for a start and we will go from there.
Id say with proper care this battery would last at least three years

This is my stingray 2000? which was stepping stone from racing laser to cruising boomerang
I went the drier path because i am limited to sailing outside the summer months due to commitments on the farm through the warmer summer months

Its getting bolted down where most have the throne
In front and inline with the drop keel...under the new v-berth deluxe

It will be perfect for long night sails on PPB and Planned extended trip up the Genelg river at Nelson in the spring
Was tempted by singo's offer but could not lower myself to go to Singleton to pick them up

I need to renovate my centerboard cases....the ply has rotted just above the keel and leaking
it would require re-decking and deck beams
do you think it possible without removing main , rear and front beams ?
i may be in need of some detail if that was possible
not planning to do it just yet but one day i would like to do it

it is a great boat for quick cruising on PPB (in warm weather)

If the beams were installed correctly it is a devil of a job to get them out, but as the centreboard case is aft of the main beam it should not be necessary to remove the beams.

To remove the decks will surely destroy them but that is what you must do to access the inside of the boat.

If you need any part of the plans I am more than happy to provide you with high resolution photos, bearing in mind the original plans are a true blueprint and therefore not crystal clear to look at.

I have to thank you for your kind gift
It has found a good home and last week i put it through its paces

At the beginning of my trip it was 12.6 vdc no load at the end it was 12.3 vdc bo load did not flintch with my meagre demands although they were over long periods on those readings it looks like i can look forward to good service over the next few years

I was charging with 40 w solar and 20 w wind dynamo through various stages of the trip

There are 3 walkers around Blairgowre and Sorrento mine the not so pretty one yet but Im working on it will have to catch up some time it was not a nice day on the swing mooring I can tell you
