I have the idea in my head of fitting a compass to my instrument pod my concern is what effect would Tacktick wireless instruments fitted in the same pod

Might help.
You will have to swing compass and card deviation when seatrials begin anyway

I just did test with my hand held compass for my Tacktick wireless instruments did not make difference if they are on or off or near.
