The information is from the new seabrease forum layout. Has been 100 knots over Debbie but now I'm intrested in 30 to 40 northerly blasting down cape York. I think I will go west next year the coral coast has been smashed!

What is strange? It's blowing 30 to 40 knots down the cape of far north qld. What a muck. I have been doing underwater photography and sailing for past 10 years on east coast and truth to be told I will wait a few more years now till I get back in the water on East coast. Such a shame!
That would be my guess. Big ridge, observations north and south all of the ridge. Unless there is stationary low about 30 miles across, the observation is wrong.
The Double Island wind station ALWAYS stooges me! Sailing back from Lady Musgrave once in my cat, beating HARD into a 20 knot South Easter (as usual) on my way back to Mooloolaba, the DI station was reading 15 knots due Westerly AS I SAILED PAST IT! I WISH that it was 15 from the West, that's a dream come true, but sadly, no. Petey
