Quickest way is to overestimate the damage and demand cash!

That's what you have insurance for. Just make sure you get the other boats details as the insurance company may want to try and recover costs.

No tangalooma wrecks in Moreton bay , start of a trip north ,just waiting for a time to jump to Fraser .

Always asking for trouble at the wrecks. Anchor at Lucinda Bay or The Sand Hills.
Navionics chart actually state that the Wrecks is day anchorage only.

Slightly off topic,
Paid commercial Sydney Harbour Mooring, on more than 1 occasional the yacht next to me hits mine. Now hairline compression cracks in Gelcoat, and a few chips out.

I was on the way out to her once when I saw it happening. Generally on ebb/slack tide, low but some wind. Pushed them apart with my tender.

Is commercial mooring operator liable? I called him while it was happening and even took photos and video... his excuse was the mooring chain twisted?? Surely if he knows the boats length, he wouldn't put 2 yacht that could hit each other?

Not by a little, the other yachts beam hit my stern. The other stern was hitting my topside at my cockpit.

Greedily packing in moorings too tightly, come back to bite them in the ar$e, putting incompatible boats on them, admitting incorrectly set up swivel gear, I'd say their at fault.

You can never have enough fenders and mounted sideways they can be left on the boat permanently.

I have 2 fenders onboard I always anchor well away from others , fenders are used for docking not for use at anchor!

Sometimes a low-freeboard boat can whack you below the horisontal fender line.

We were at the wrecks at Easter , we seem to have a magnetic boat , we always anchor a good distance away from crowds but are never alone long

Ah, time to try anchoring in a really ordinary spot then later in the day after the blowflies have gathered up anchor and move to your prefered location.

I know what you mean , anchor one or two days ahead of the crowd, then get hit by a new boat that anchors to close
