Nothing like the fear of springing a plank to engender good seamanship in a gale!

Hi Ramona

All of the original stuff on the boat still works so it is hard to justify replacing it to my wife

It reads in meters so it is not totally antique

Nice quality Japanese manufacture. If you decide to "update" I collect these.

I don't suppose you know what the hole in the lh top corner is for

I was wondering if the beeper lives behind it

Oooo, it's a fish finder too! but only if the fish swims directly under the transducer when you're watching it

The transducer is exactly the same as the other fish finders so it sees exactly the same just does not show history. It's actually an "A" scope but in a circular shape. Ordinary lcd fish finders have the edge of the screen as an A scope [about 1mm wide] and the rest of the screen is what you have already passed over, history.

I think that is the speaker for the alarm. I don't have any of those modern features on mine.

I have one of the ice fishing flasher sounders in my tender as well. Looks like yours but sits on top of it's own lead acid battery pack.
