We have had some seriously weird weather for August. The usual is Gale force Westerlies interspersed with pleasant , cool dry days. This month we have had a lot of rain with strong onshore winds and large seas and heavy ground swell.

Two yachts at Jervis Bay on the beach this morning and the 60 foot staysail schooner next to my mooring sitting on the bottom. She went up on the beach a few weeks back and I think she may have damaged a skin fitting. This is going to have some effect on insurance!

For locals there will be film on WIN 4 tonight.

This is a video on the storm aftermath a couple of years ago. Same bloke was taking videos this morning.

Shane makes a bit of sense!

Good vid. Lets hope the authorities at least take notice of what the locals are saying.

You have beautifully fine sand there. A bit like Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Isalnd.

The other end of the bay has supposedly the whitest sand in Australia. Though it is not really sand, but of course I can't find what it is at the moment. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyams_Beach,_New_South_Wales
