I have ordered a 10 kg Flook and 14mm nylon for my second anchor. Need a thimble. Prefer S/S.
Tried Whitworth Marine, and a few others. They only have galvanized in anything bigger the 12 mm or 1/2".

Keep an eye on Ebay. Try your local fish Coop.

Is your anchor stainless steel?

I'm on to it. Electrolysis! The gal will be sacrificed more quickly?

The other choices are just a splice to chain.

Or this method which seems to be popular in Britain. www.bluemoment.com/warpchainsplice.html

This going to be my second anchor.
The makers recommend nylon and no chain.

It's hand deployed and retrieved which also suits my need for a back up anchor if the winch fails.
I did find 14 mm thimbles at the BCF store on ebay but now know I don't need s/s.
Appreciate your help. Thanks.
