The owner of this yacht, as well as 1 or 2 others clean up the class. They never seem to finish lower than third place, EVER!

I'm pretty sure this is a scratch built rig and not a cut down fed 5. The mast is an actual fed 5 mast. The owner offers custom built yachts out of Vegas.

That is a Skip Elliot carbon sail. Sails range from 5-800 usd. Skip also races the 6.7 class and is one of the three to beat.

This is where you keep your feet. If you keep them on the pedals, they don't come off.
You don't have anything other than pegs on a dirt bike, do you?

What is the total cost of the yacht with 5.0 sail shipped to portland Or.? What is the weight load capacity and can it be broke down for shipping?

This quote is definitely not a solid quote but I think you're looking at between two and four G and that'll depend if you want the carbon racing sails or other type.
the whole yacht breaks down except the mast it's only two piece. The front end, axles and seat come off. I think shipping to anywhere in Oregon is about 300 bucks. That's more due to the size than the weight.

I went the nalsa web site and there is no sin city yachts and/or dirt boats listed. 4 g's is a little on the spendy side. I can almost drive to vages
round trip for $300 in my truck.

Yes 4 g's, but they are completely custom built, not a "cookie cutter" yacht.

Just like any other vehicle sport, you pay for performance! Speed and performance cost $$$.
1 carbon sail will run nearly $900 bucks alone. Other sails will run $450 and up. Sailworks is a good brand but they are not giving those away! Most of the cost is the sail or sails. For the price of one sail I could build a half dozen yacht chassis I'm sure you could get a sail quote for cheaper but it all depends if you are racing to win or just having fun. Hell, as far as that goes, you could use bed sheets!!

These are not fun yachts they are full on race rockets. If you're in it for fun then build yourself a LLM or get a Manta, Seagull or Airtrak, or any other "cookie cutter" type yacht. Go ahead and order one of those and see how much shipping would be!

I'm pretty sure you could drive anywhere cheaper than freight would cost, especially if your not counting your time, insurance, worker's comp. operating cost's and taxes and everything else.

Buying a pre-built yacht is not for the thrifty or the moderate man. It's for the rich or one with a fair amount of $$$. Honestly. you don't see poor folk running around winning land sailing championships or in land yachting all together!

You are right about the dirt bike but consider what happens when your foot comes off the pegs and hits the ground
on a dirt bike. It swings back. Now consider what happens in the case above Different scenario

Look at the sail the guy had that won the worlds, I didn't see your guy there?

There was no 6.7 class at the worlds! That's why you didn't see him there. Besides, sometimes fishing takes priority. On the way back from Smith creek, after the worlds, I stopped at lake Tahoe for three days and caught some Mac's.

There is more prestige in winning the ALC several times than being a one hit wonder at the worlds......No offense John E. (also an ALC winner in 2 classes)

The winning sail in the i5.6 was a copy of the same sail in the subject! Sailworks sails are based on the same design.
The original Fed 5 design.

I have compared all three sails, one laying on top of the other and there are only slight, hardly noticeable differences. Materials used are the only obvious tell tales. Luff, leach and foot are nearly identical.

I'm leaving out some details on purpose to keep from stepping on some toes!!
