The others have more seaweed now.

My first choice was the western end of Alexander but there is too much sand around the rocks.

The Duke Of New Orleans Bay maybe , as this was taken a good while ago Vic, is loaded with seaweed all the time. I have never seen it reasonably clear yet.
The eastern end is fantastic on a low tide and the artic white sand squeals under your tyres even when travelling in a straight line. I've done 100's of kms along this beach.

I'm hanging out to get out to Thomas river again, but high tide is the middle of the day at the moment.
Also with the huge swells we are getting there isn't much beach to use.

East of Cape lar grand, Lucky bay I think it is called. It was a great spot when this was taken (2004) and great fishing of the rock. Sand was like concrete and plenty of wind.
Except for my class3 it is still my favourite yacht,(useless in a tack tho) But easily do over a 100K when wound up on Lefroy. It handled like it was on rails. Still miss it.
I did not covered it up when I came to Bridgetown and water wreaked it. I would have loved to have raced it against other wind flyers

It was going ok until it tipped onto it's side and then took off!

Now you have got me thinking chook, I have 200cc aircraft motor and prop some where in the shed

Just got into Bali from Java , climbing half a dozen volcano nearly killed me, looking forward to getting home and back up the shed

maybe just stick with a replica of the viking circa 1898, Ive got some really clear pic of the yacht

may be you could build the viking paul ,might be fun for us to build replicas of these old yachts and have a regatta right up your ally chook and how are the peny farthings going

We are stuck on the "Growire from the vineyards for making the 12 gauge spokes.
We need plain not blue coloured, galvanized wire that's 2.680mm.
It's available here in Esperance ex Perth, $132 for 1000mtrs but only if I buy 10 rolls. (they wont split up a pallet)

Remember that little cap light you gave me , it now goes up and down Ijin sulfur volcano .It has been a well traveled, been to the top of several volcano in Java. The miners start in the dark but the sulfur gas burning lights it up a bit. I gave it to one of the miners that carrying 80kg plus out of the crater without a light. They get 7cents for carrying the load 800m up the crater and 3k down the side of Ijin not bad work if you can get it(just joking had to admire them)
