Been meaning to put these up for some time.
The first pic is me in a class 3 (not the old boys) at the original Island clubhouse at Lefroy around 81-82
The second is at the nationals in SA around 85-86 I think.
Dad is centre yacht KA28 with the green and gold sail.
I think Landy is the gold sail KA3, but I may be wrong

Are you sure of 81-82 for the first pic? most of the yachts pictured had been sent to the graveyard by then. theres also no wingmasts visible. I would have guessed maybe 78-79.. just in case anybody is wondering where all the yachts went, they left them parked on the edge of a salt lake in the weather

I think you are correct Landy, it would have been earlier, I was there during 81 year with my yacht "INSALT" and I don't recall that many yachts. Enjoyed that years sailing and the trip across to Mallala in December with a good number of the guys from Walyungup. I must have some old photos myself, will dig deep to see if they can be found.....Wok
