Hi all. A number of sailors are heading to Lake Lefroy on the Queen's birthday long weekend 24 - 27 September. Lake Lefroy club will be holding the Lightning Nickel Marathon and Andy Bates marathon on that weekend as those trophies were designated for Lake Lefroy. Please attend if possible.

The Southern Cross regatta is on in a month or so depending on lake conditions. I will check out the conditions there in early October.

Cheers

Vic

Lightning Nickel and Andrew Bates marathon events to be held at Lake Lefroy 24 - 27 September. Southern Cross too wet for now but is being monitored for an event to be scheduled as soon as conditions allow.

I am Going to check Southern Cross Lake on 23/11/21. If suitable we will have another go at holding a regatta early in December, 4th 5th, if that is ok with everyone that gives enough time to arrange accommodation, ect.

If someone can verify that the lake is dry there is no reason that we could not go earlier. The earliest I can get to check is the 24th. I think the amount of water that was in the system may take some time to dry. But could be wrong I don't know long it takes to flow through.

Last event for the year was a blast. Mini and Class 5 scratch races were the order of the day with Alex proving difficult to catch in his mini. Looking forward to doing it all again in 2022
