Time for a new thread. I know Vic/AUS230 started one in 2012

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Land-Yacht-Sailing/Construction/Modifications-and-experimentation/?whichpage=1

What experiments have people tried? What works and what doesn't?

Everyone is different and likes to rig their yachts differently what do you like and why? Include pictures please.

Does anyone have plans/detailed photos of lever type outhaul? I tried making one today. It's ok however I think it can perform better.

here are some rigging on my new yacht:

Carbon Bottom windsurfer mast section(1.4kg) with SS ronstan mast hound screwed into an internal timber block. I was going to slash cut the end the same angle as luff pocket and mast hound however not keen on cutting the carbon fibre.

Here is the attachment for my centre sheeting inspired by 90's possibly 80's windsurfer harness line attachment. Could just tie a clove hitch would be easier.

Laser style clew strap. Looks better and performs better than Telstra rope ,I hope

Lever out haul (first attempt). I was really impressed with the lever out haul on vic's yacht (aus230) was functional and ergonomic.
Not sure out pivot points line/lever angles, pull length, dimension etc. Just had a pic of seabreeze . SS Hose clamps riveted to bottom of Alum channel. I think the fulcrum needs to be higher?

So it is out-hauled using the ring?

I suppose you could do the same using two links of s/s chain using second link to attach outhaul.
On my mini I have an internal screw to which the clew is held with "D"shackle via the protruding tab which is attached to the traveling nut.
I have a double lever outhaul on my Promo(Class5) which I intend changing to internal screw
On the 3 seater just a rope tieing the clew of the but no adjustable outhaul but am thinking of ways to do as boom ends way behind my head when sailing
