somewhere in this great collection of knowledge someone wrote about the different alu-quallities,
but i can't find it anymore!!!

So what's the good stuff and who sells it in Europe???

I need just a meter or so for stiffening the mastbase.

this brings a bit of sense to all the numbers.

But for the practical part:

What kind of alu can ideally be used for let's say class 5 axles or a mast adaptor?

I've got a used NorthSails Alu mast, wich has a great curve with the 5,5 sqm frogsail.
The adaptor i'm using now has about 3 kilos, way too heavy!!!
My plan is to convert my micro race into a 3/4 class 5 yacht
