Lancelin should be ideal in November. There is a backpackers there 'Lancelin lodge' and I think the rates are reasonable for WA. The kiting is off a sandbar 5 min walk from the backpackers. You can drive there in a hire car but ideally an all wheel drive or 4x4 will get you on the beach easier some people even bike or trolley their gear to the surf. The spot has a mixture of flat water, choppy surf and reef surf in excellent conditions. Try to stay clear of the windsurf area downwind. Good luck!

yo kizza the perfect time for wind, blowvember up here in dongara, lano can get a bit busy and rules apply with the poleys, youve a few spots up the coast, at dongara youve got 20kms of kitable beach, with about 4 locals midweek and 6 at the weekend , 7 and 9 mtrs are usually the go, gero and coranations are just up the road and so on , enjoy the midwest

The conditions should be good at that time of the year but who knows, the season just gone was crud.

As Aseela said, Lancelin YHA Lodge is the best bet for accommodation if hostels are your thing. Otherwise two caravan parks and a pub/hotel. There is usually a regular crew of kiters and poleys staying at the Lodge by then.

Although I learnt here, Eddie Island Point where most of the kiters launch from isn't the best for learners/newbies as you are directly upwind of the windsurfer park, also add in the shallow reef on the outside and cray boats moored downwind of the windsurfers. Midweek you might get away with it but on the weekends it can get crazy. If you come, as always find someone that kites and lives here or find a regular from Perth to help with the do's and don'ts and where the hazards are.

A kite school (Makanakai or something like that) runs from the point at the north end of town. North Point isn't the most popular with the kiters as its tucked out of the way but there is nothing to run into and the beach is pretty quiet. It's worth considering if you want room to flail around without a big audience

Cauncy, you're not far up the road, I might have to pop up next season for a peek
