Saw three while walking along the dog beach..
It was a double whammy.. Wind stopped, kites down, people packing up. Then wind started again for about 5 minutes.
Two guys made a run for it down wind.. Then wind died again.
Yeah me and a mate took off from South Swanie and made it just short of Citys. Had to make the decision to try and continue to Brighton or head back and battle of the dune bandits,.. bad day for my mate!!
I was thinking it was just us that got it wrong but when we got back to Swanie there were more than a few kites stranded.
On the drive back we also saw a few walking west coast highway. Bad day all round.
Anyways theres always tomorrow 
I had flashbacks to the L2L race when my kite fell out of the sky, but luckily I wasn't wrapped in other kite lines this time.
