Hi there,

Arriving in WA at the beginning of December to start a new life, I'm looking for a surfkite Shaper cose I won't take my surfboard with me (for sure I'm going to live in The surf country and I can't consider to buy a chineese or any asian surfkite..., this is not my thinking ).
Here, in the dwarf's country (sarcastic joke ), for my 75kg, I'm riding a thruster Spotz brand (5'8 * 18 1/2). My program is surf of course (strapless or not, depending...) and freestyle strapless (beginner and actually rushing hard for the ollie transition )

So, after a few research, I found:
- Dave Lewis
- Delta Designs (Margaret river)
- FireWire ( Qld & not sure a pure Aussie made...?)
- Colin Earle
- Stuey Martins
Any others kitesurfing shapers I missed?
If you have any comments or advice on these shapers/boards to help me in that choice...
Cheers
Laurent

The last few more:
1/ As I'm a kitesurfing addict, I will buy a used one arriving in Perth but I would like to have "all the keys in my hands" to make a good choice for my future Aussie custom
2/ Looking for a room in a kitesurfer's flat/house too in case of... (no "kitesurfer option" on Gumtree flat share / house share )
3/ kind of cars you have for your kitetrip in WA? 4WD really usefull or just for comfort?

My surfing boards are shaped by 'Chapstar'. Chris Chapman is passionate, has the skills and is in great company with a depth of shapers down south who mostly all get along. Have yarn to him you will see what I mean. I know he has done a few kite specific boards and relentlessly seeks feedback so he will really want to know what your into wether you order one or not.
You have actually missed a sh1z load of shapers really...

Im really surprised no one else has chirped in with responses..Actually shocked, ... I guess that could show how many people are riding pop outs and shop stock....?

I guess it might get over complicated or something with all the kite details to deal with let alone boards??

Wilkes down at Singleton.
Marty at Delta.

Most WA surfers that kite, ride surfboards, not kite specific surfboards, well most I know anyway.
This is because if you surf you are trying to emulate this on kite, this is why you properly havent had much feedback, guys just kite the board they surf.

Also WA shapers have a bloody hard time making a living anyway, especially in Perth where the surf is crap, time on quality waves testing boards is not as plentiful as on the east coast. Most shapers will do custom boards for you, but trying to convey what you want get really get lost in translation.

Myself, I buy a couple of 2nd hands boards a year to demolish behind the kite, you will kill them but at 100 bucks a pop it feels worth it to me.
