Id just like to say a massive thanks to Elisha and Ben plus a couple of other guys (whose names i didnt catch) at pinnaroo on sunday for helping me out. Ive had some xrays done and it looks like ill be out of action for abit. And to top it off it was my right foot so can't even drive an auto and means ill be sat on my sofa for a few weeks which sucks already.

It definately shows that the locals at pinnaroo are a decent, helpful bunch.

Went to do a kiteloop but didnt catch as much air as id have liked, came down whilst the kite was mid loop which wouldnt have been a problem but my front foot came out my footstrap. Im not entirely sure what happened next but after the board hit the water it must have gone upside down and turned or something like that. And seeing as the kite was well powered up it put a huge amount of force thro the board and ultimately thro my foot by twisting and bending it!! It was incredibly painful and i had to get back on my board to come to the shore, luckily it was only about 100m.
It hasnt damaged my ankle which is surprising so im glad about that, seeing the doc tomorrow to get the verdict on how long it should take to heal.

Yeah it didnt look too pretty, especially later on when it swelled up like a balloon at the hospital, every nurse/doctor that took a look at it was like 'hmmm that doesnt look good'!!

Luckily for me the results from the x-ray came back clear but the ultrasound showed soft tissue damage, a torn muscle under the arch of my foot and something to do with some joints in my foot aswell. I couldnt walk on it for 3 weeks but now im getting about abit. Prob going back to work on monday but wont be able to kite yet as its still painful to put weight on it bare footed, and the wind looks alright for then aswell. :(

Yeah the timing was pretty good, i'd been gutted if it'd been in the middle of summer.
