I'm new to kiting and new to Perth and I was just wondering if anyone would be able to list a few good spots around the Joondalup area and thereabouts for kiting.

Thanks.

Yeah
Pinnaroo is good AKS have a school, there so gets a busy from October through March downwind of the point.
If you can hold your ground or stay upwind its pretty good but can get choppy above 20 kts. A group of locals kite year round there, and some of us have been out most of this week.
If you're after waves Mullaloo is the next beach North of Pinna's But keep at least 250m upwind, downwind, or within the shore of the surf club, on pain of death of mulla's locals. No, but seriously, keep away from the surf club as the locals have got a proper hard-on for kiters (search the forums for Mullaloo beach issues).
Otherwise check WAKSA website for other locations.

see you on the water!!

yeah pinnaroo is a good place if your new. Generally always at least 5 or so people out if there's wind. Not met anyone there who isn't willing to help a newbie.
