Yep it's Definantly winter . No reliable seabreeze for Down winders. Im looking forward to the storms too with the big swells, but nothing like 30 degrees , kiting , boardies ,beers and consistent wind for those 100 waves a day sessions!

Early September , good luck, bit early for sbreezes, but I like your enthusiasm, sicky getting pulled tmoz, 25knts and big swell, love being self employed, just gonna send myself a txt telling me I don't feel well

You can launch from Drummonds Cove which is 2WD access. I enjoy the section from Sunset to Drummonds though with a fun shorebeak along glenfields.

You might have to 4wd it ! Decent sea breezes seem like an eternity away right now. Been a ****e winter for wind here.

But you never know, it could be on again in a month

Looks like you have found your self a nice Easterly spot Mick! Weve been going to have a kite at the Greenough river mouth in an Easterly but hasn't worked out yet.

Saturday is looking pretty speccy.

Spent a while looking for a top winter spot, we get our fair share of strong easterlies, and I reckon I nailed it here, works from s/east round to swesterly, it blew 5 days on a trot easing off at lunch then as the heat built in the day it came in again around 20 knts late afternoon, it'd be a flat water junkie spot , but I had fun jumping the sandbar, crystal clear , knee to waist water, stunning fishing, had an epic sup amongst the wildlife and over to a spectacular island group

Mick flew to Perth and back last couple of days and bagged ocean view seats both ways. Had me bonce searching for that sandy spits between Gero and Perth and closest I got was around Jurien or swan river.

I reckon you have got yourself a private and lonely spot there !

On ya

Dave

2 days ago, tried yesterday but very late on, I'm down the beach now and there's a kiteable southerly , all sessions would be 12 plus for a decent session, it won't be far off now I reckon till we get the odd sub 10 mtr session, then it generally fizzles out for a few weeks, to then return and build in strength , mother natures just dangling her tits in your face ATM, she's a tease

I know of a few spots just like this, invite only flat water all wind directions, if you don't catch a fish within 10 seconds of casting out you've lost your bait

Can't believe you guys are riding 10-12m kites, I gave that up after the year one desperation to kite in any conditions,

3 days on the trot of kiting 10/7 mtr weather , nwest to swest winds, just about to check it out, I usually head further north and have had great sessions on my 7 at exmouth,in September then to return home to no wind , who knows though you might get lucky
