That's it mate drive an hour north of perths northern suburbs and your officially in the blowing its tits off region.5 hours north and there is a 25 knot Sunday coming up!.Either that or get your light wind kite quiver!.2 weeks ago I went to jurien bay as it was a marginal 15 knots in perth .It was a constant 20 knots in Jurien bay!.It can be done in a day trip . Lanos and wedge even easier!

sweet, hopefully the shift will continue southward and hit the metro area soon. I can't really get out of the city.

A great option for light wind is the down winder.15 knots is plenty on any 10 m kite!

Just out of interest, how do you know? I've just spent the afternoon kiting on my own at Horrocks and would have loved some company! But you are right, I was out on the 6m for 2 hours in decent double head high waves in the sets...

Really? Great! I'll be at Horrocks tommorow too... My local mates are harvesting, teaching etc, hope I get some company. Ripper day today, on the 8, then the 6m. Swell has dropped quite a bit but still some fun rides.

Sorry Dave .
The missus got a little grumpy with my kiting .hahaha .Had to go home a little early.I got some kiting done at Grey on the way back .It was 3 or 4 knots shy of the gero seabreaze graph .Got back to perth and it was very marginal!.Ill be visiting again as I want to try kite loop jumps on a 7 m or whiping a little 6m around in the waves.
There must be some 35 to 40 knot days up there in January ...am I right?...Cant wait to smash that or get smashed by that! Cheerio ..enjoy the kiting!

Sorry to have missed you! Actually the wind didn't really get strong enough until 530 6 ish. That hot morning easterly pushed it out. Hope you make it up this way again in January. Certainly a good chance of 30 knot plus days. Am looking forward to a couple of quiet days to give the body a brreak....Think I've been out 12 days in the last 2 weeks. Am heading to Perth tommorow for a couple of days rest!

I had some good 18 to 20 knot down winders in september in perth over powered on a 10 m reo!.Light wind kites are must for perth inconsistant early bird season seabreezes.I watched a vid not so long ago of andy yates charging a 17m zephyr ! .The only time I go to attadale is on light wind days because there is a few casual crew there having fun.20 knots anywhere in perth now means a haze of angry wasps!.ahhhhhh !!!!
