have beginners in this spot always been a problem?
It's marked as "Not Suitable for Beginners" ... but quite a lot of folk who can't even get up on their boards are usually out in the middle of all the action.
Look, everyone has to learn and I appreciate that, but during the week there were quite a few nongs walking around totally oblivious right in the middle of the action.
It's fine if they walk couple hundred mtrs out and are basically out of the way, but there were at least 2 guys yesterday that needed to be told they were just making a nuisance of themselves for us and the many windsurfers at the spot, just nervously hanging around in launch/land zone.
... not to mention lots of launching/landing carnage -- at least 2 kites ending up in the tree this week! (1 of them is still there ...)
I talked to one of the guys and he: a) got all defensive b) didn't take my advice and at least get the fk out of everyone's way.
What's the usual method of dealing with these jokers this problem?
My fear is that the spot'll get shut down with too many beginners hanging around in the exclusion zone (which is where they all get blown) will get the local environmental-bird-watcher down on the spot, either that or some doofus taking out someone important on the footpath with his kite.
Do we put up a sign or something? Ask em politely? Give them a map back to the kite schools?
