Has anybody kited at Moor River??? Is there any exclusion zones or can people give some good places to kite?

Inside or outside? Outside it would work in anything S to N. Inside it would have to be straight west I would think. Plus there will be a million kids swimming down there this time of year. Just stay away from swimmers and you should be fine.

Personnally, I'd just keep driving north another half hour.

If you are talking inside the river mouth you are crazy, it could only work on a westerley as AE said, plus the turbulence off the limestone cliffs and the kids swimming in the river is a recipe for disaster, outside on the beach side its nothing special, pick any metro beach for the same slop.

Had a great kite their last summer inside the river mouth - pretty well onshore wind and just ran up and down inside the bar - not much distance but flat and got some great jumping in. Cliffs and wind disruption didn't seem too much of an issue that dat

It was getting dark so not one person in the water and with the sandbar felt quite relaxed re sharks. It was a unique session but I think can only be considered if nobody around.
