Whos been making kiting gear the longest and who is the most reliable/affordable/safest?

Oh this is set to become a seabreeze classic thread..... Asking people on the internet if they have an opinion is not the best way to get information.


Some manufacturers come from Windsurfing, others from wakeboarding, most makers turn out at least a couple of really good kites, depends on your prefered style. Most modern gear is pretty much on par in terms of saftey systems, and none of it is affordable.

Agreed apathetic end.

I think some brands specialise more in a particular area, like Nobile specialise in boards while Slingshot specialise in the kites more.
is that true?

I don't really think there is ferrari - hyundai type gaps in kites these days, they are more like holdens - fords or nissans - toyotas.
