Hi guys
I'm moving from Sydney to Mandurah on friday. Anyone got any info (locals maybe) on Mandurah? Spots to ride waves/flat.? I've seen the pond looks horrible rather tee up with a crew and head to a break etc

Are the sea breezes that much weaker than Perth

Do I need to get waksa cover straight away?

Anyone in Mandurah and surrounds who wants to show us some spots?
Cheers Ols

Hi Olly84,
The seabreeze is usually I bit lighter in Mandurah but you can still get out most days in summer.
There are plenty of spots to choose from, flat water in the estuary, reef breaks to the south and beach breaks to the north.
Most of the guys/girls from Perth don't make it past Safety Bay so it is rarely crowded.
Friendly locals down here, good family vibe.
Bring a 6,9&12m kite, surfboard & twinny and you'll be set.
See ya out there,
Moons.

Oh,...Bring some wind with ya if you can

Just make sure you are up to date with your vaccination, especially Hep C if your heading down to the getto.

pretty good down here unless the shiny arse show ponies from perth come down and start hassling for waves.
sea breeze is a little lighter sometimes but still consistent enough in summer. surf is better as well and closer to margies.
winter fronts are fun too. a few hidden away gems (as in awesome) for speed sailing if you're that way inclined and willing to drive 30 min or so.
where in sydney are you heading from?
