Hi everyone, I am looking for some kiteboarding mates. I have done 5hrs of lessons and at the moment just practicing water starts.

Since doing my lessons I purchased some second hand gear to get me started, just looking for someone to meet up with and look out for each other who is at similar learning stage.

Contrary to popular belief, you actually need an experienced buddy, one that can walk down the beach while you're drifting downwind and take your kite and board and sail back upwind for you to do it all over again.

But those kinds of mates are few and far between...

(Cheers Mark!)

Hi fellow newbies,

I've had about 5/6 lessons and have been told by the instructors I just need to get out and practise........... however lacking in confidence!!

So if any of you guys go to Melville then let me know. I work monday to friday so usually get there for around 5pm during the week.

Cheers
