Hi

with weak winds this weekend thinking of getting by 9'6" longboard out with either a 9m or 12m (my only 2 kites) just to get out in the water.

Anyone kited with a longboard? fun? worth the effort? can you stay up wind ok?

Cheers

I've had a go a couple times with a mal. Was fun yet not a raging success. The wind was fairly on sure both times and I found the length of the board a bit of an issue in the small chop. I also found learning to gybe was easy on a mal because the area to walk on, is so big. You should give it a go. Shift you weight to the centre of the board when getting up on a plane, then you can move back a bit when your moving.
