Hi guys

I want to go kitesurfing from early November to late December and was wondering whether Lancelin would be a suitable spot. I like that it is a pretty small town and hopefully not too crowded (mabye on the weekends?) as I am not really looking for a huge town/party scene. But other than that I did not find that much recent information about kitesurfing in Lancelin. Can anyone here give some more information about the spot, conditions, crowd, etc?

Or should I ditch that idea and go somewhere completely different on the west coast? :)

Plenty of beaches to kite in Lancelin. Anything from flat water to waves. You will get stronger winds than in Perth as well and wind on almost a daily basis in November / December. You might get a bit bored staying there for 2 months, there are plenty of other spots to explore up and down the coast. Lancelin rarely gets crowded, a busy day would be like 15-20 kites up there and then again there are multiples areas you can Launch and kite from, you don't have to worry about crowds.

If you have any doubts about the regulations and such, be sure to ask local kiters. Just make sure (as explained in the link above) that you do NOT go in the windsurfing area.

A bit further north is the midwest, if you want a step up in wind strength and consistency it takes some beating, youll literally have klms of beach to yourself, DONGARA,GERALDTON,HORROCKS, weve also a great windfest event 24/25/26 november, any info just ask

oh, we love windsurfers up here, they make great jumping obstacles

November / December, from Lancelin north, for about 500km, you'll find deserted kiting, flat water to waves - just get a 4x4 and go exploring.

I've been up there very regular the best part is it's never crowded you will love it

A busy day at Lano will have 50+ kites out but they're only on the really busy weekends, mid-week it's bliss with only a few out. Poleys and kiters do get along (unless it's changed since I moved from there) but definitely no kites in the windsurfing park or in front of. There's not enough room and it's in a ****ty wind shadow anyway.
