Hello fellow kiters,

I'm looking to meet people do to downwinders this season early in the afternoons at around 2.30 or 3.00pm.

Anyone in this situation?

Cheers

I can probably do it once or twice a week. I have done just a few of them..not an expert but would like to improve that. :)

friendly reminder to you guys and others if "new to it" few general and polite rules of downwinding include:
dont come in near kids or swimmers
dont come anywhere near flags, there is a limit on extent for them (check WAKSA)
dont snake people
learn surf rules
be friendly, say hi, smile

Hey Chamo,

I run a transport van for kiters leaving from south Trigg, Monday to Friday at 430pm sharp! Come along and meet some crew. You can organise with people you meet to kite downwind at other times. Find me on Facebook, search upwinder, or upwinder.weebly.com

Haha I know you well seeker! I've taken your van on more than one occasion.

I'm finishing earlier these days so wanted to start the downwind at 2.30pm

I could take the van to get back to my car though, that's another option :-)

Early afternoon downwinders are hard to organise.... I usually do a warm up run from city's to trigg as early as midday on a big kite in light wind using the old treadly!

That setup is exactly what Ive been planning on for this summer. Where'd you get the bike rack? (I'm too lazy to google.)

This is my option, not sure how it will handle with a 25 knot head wind.

Now you just need a rack on your board, for the bike & pump Stops it getting stolen AND you'll never have to walk/hitch back. GENIUS!

I always ride first and kite back to the car.The triple downwinder is impossible without this bike . I have got my money's worth out of it already.

You guys and your cute little bikes :) Chamo, I'm in the same situation a few days a week and want to do earlier downwinders to get to South Trigg around 4 and catch the Upwinder back towards Cottesloe. I'd be happy to kite with you.

Hey y'all!

So many creative options, love to see it!

I'd be stoked to do all the work for you, it will save you loads of time and money. As I'm sure all of you who've tried it know, taking a bike upwind, with a surfboard, while wet, after a session can be quite tiring! The Upwinder has had an amazing start to the season and if I stay busy, I will work out a way to run two trips per day. Come meet some crew!

Check out the trailer and postie!
