Do i need WAKSA membership?

hey guys just wondering why u need it, is it like with motrbikes u get covered by insurance/ liability stuff.
dunno im just new to the sport so any info would be great cheers

hey mate im no expert but yer u do get some kind of insurance and it helps to develop the sport and keep beachs for kitesurfing hopes that answers your question???

if your new to kiting probably wait till next season to get your membership because i doubt you will kite much over winter

Actually there is a reduced membership fee to cover the span of winter. Can't remember exact figure but its about $40. It covers you up to the official insurance renewal date which I think is in September so if you're kiting early spring then you'll be covered. There are also likely to be some social events over winter and you would be most welcome to come along to any of these. If you join you'll also be included in any notices on future news and events.

So the answer is yes, it is worth joining and we've adjusted the cost to ensure its fair. Check out the www.waksa.org.au website and shoot us an email through this if all the information there does not answer your question. You can simply sign up on-line and you'll be a member instantly.
