Hey Guys
I am a Danish exchange student. Officially I have come to Perth to study, but the hidden agenda is to kitesurf as much as possible. I am stoked to get to surf in Western Australia, and hopefully getting to meet likeminded Aussies and other international surfers. Unfortunately I don't have a car yet and I live in Nollamara - this makes things a little more complicated.
So, what I'm hoping are kitesurfing buddies and a lift.
In return I offer pleasant company, snacks and of course to chip in with the gas money.
Send me a text on 0420 237 401 or write here, if you can help me out.
PS: lift or not - first time on the water here will be on Tuesday - Woodman's Point or Safety bay.
See you there
Alexander
Hey Alexander,
Some of the WA guys seem to have a bit of an attitude towards euro guys. From what I can tell it's a mix of these reasons:
1. Sheer numbers (popular destination)
2. Euros often don't respect local rules (get kiting banned, who cares, move on)
3. They wear euro-budgie-smuggler-shorts (hint: invest in some billabong board shorts)
4. They are on holidays and having fun when the locals are working
5. They have smokin hot euro girlfriends giving them launches in skimpy bikinis.
I'm sure if you are friendly and ask the local rules before going out, you'll break the ice and meet some fellas that way.
Good to know - I'm bringing TimTams to break the ice.
I'll ask about the local rules before hitting the water.
Already got the billabong boardies, and left my girlfriend back home. So, guess I'm off to an okay start:)
But thanks for the advice Dave.
