I'm new to this (and new to reading charts and things like that) but am super keen to head out this weekend.

The forecast says its a S to a SSW in the arvo. Where is a great place for a learner to go with that kind of wind? I've heard shallow water is good.

Any tips? thanks

Woodman Point beach 1, think you may need a big kite, it looks pretty light!

unless the weather comes in stronger and you are competent in light winds forget it . What is the biggest kite you have ? Can you get up on the board ok ?

If no to either i would not bother

Go to WAKSA website location guide. S/SW is our summer arvo trade and you can kite anywhere on that wind, except the no-go zones like Cottesloe Main and City Beach Bay.

Good luck I'm tipping it will be crappola.

thanks for the tips. I've got an 8m and a 12m, only 50kg so I think they're pretty big kites.

Can get up on the board fine, just learning to go up wind confidently. Just super keen to go out anytime there is even a breath of wind (rather be out there when its crap than not try at all, right).

Thanks again
