we all know what's out there and its a chance we take, some take more chances by using waters that are more heavily populated than others.
nobody likes to body drag for too long and yes its part of learning curve so why wouldn't you try to spend as little time as possible looking for your board . there has been many a debate on hear about using a leash or even a "gojoe" me personally I use a leash but I wear a helmet which has taken the brunt of a couple of heavy smacks
At the end of the day as long as we all make it back home after a session on the water
my heart goes out to those and there family and friends that don't RIP
