Looks like Wednesday arvo might be ok to dust off the gear and hit the water again and the forecast is for E/ESE.
I'm still a beginner (can get up on the board but can't hold edge to go upwind). I'm itching to hit the water as much as possible and get my skills up.
I've never kited at Attadale before and WAKSA recommends it's not for beginners.. I'm a common sense guy and can see maybe needing to do the walk could be problematic with limited length of beach due to exclusion zones.. Just wondering what some of you locals say.... Should I just stay at home and wait for W/SW for melville and woodies?
Problem with kiting at attadale if you cant go upwind yet is there is very little beach to walk up and people use it for picnics etc. You could always kite from attadale to the sand bar after a few down wind tacks but you would have to carry your kite back up to attadale, and waksa "recommend" not to kite parralel to the boat ramp areas... not the best spot but if your froffing hard you could make it work...
Try mandurah estuary at wannanup beach next to the dawesville cut ..Heaps of space and shallow water .Do the drive and you will have heaps more fun there!.
