Was awesome, got to narrowneck at around 9am. Kited till 12:45 and had trouble packing up my kite was nackered!

Fer chrissake! What arcane methodology do you guys use to predict the wind (particularly in sandgate/brighton area)? I know the wind chart looked pretty optimistic today (except for those thunderbolts) but I have seen it look promising so many times and eventuate to nothing. Sometimes the chart is actually showing good wind but it is dead in sandgate/brighton.
Are there other indicators I should be looking at to tell whether the prediction is true or just a cruel, cruel tease?
SB forecast love adding 5kts to the 5th day in their forecast i reckon too
