hey guys, in late oct im heading down the coast for a week. I no at my place in CQ we get the NE seabreeze come through in the afternoons. dose this come through down at goldy? im staying at Burleigh, and thinking the Currumbin ally could be sweet on a NE. and secondly im looking to get a new airush razor when im down there. is there any dealers on goldy, and do they do tradeins?
cheers
yeh man NE will be in full flight by october, currumbin is an awesome spot on NE with run out tide, gets a bit crowded on weekends mainly families on the beach more so than other kiters, theres a hand ful of other spots that are also super glassy in NE or SE, what ever the tide is doing is what decides where i go.
Yeh sic man. I remember surfing at the ally as a kid and it was sic but bolk people there now. I'm sure if the wind was up on a SE you could get on to some sweet rides wrapping around the point.
yeh i just remember seeing loads of poleys there as a kid.
do you no of any shops on the coast that stock airush?
ohh i dunno about SE at currumbin, never tried it. i recon itd be sh!t
Straight down the line off the rock and into palmie ![]()

Hi
I will be moving to the Gold Coast from liverpool UK in January and will be looking for flat water spots to fly and meet the locals.
Still learning at the moment and will also need some more kit..
I am a 90Kg rider and currently flying a Peter Lynn charger 15mtr but its a slow kite and isnt helping my learning.
Going to pick up an LEI but what are your average winds over there as i will be looking to get just the one kite at the moment.
Something around the 10mtr mark would suit for the UKs 15 to 25knots average

Hey Sploj,
First up: www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kitesurfing/South-East-Queensland/Where-To-kite-in-SE-QLD-Google-Map/
Great source of info here ^^ which is actually at the top left hand corner of the QLD page......
At 90 kegs, I'd be looking around the 11-12 mtr range for the average wind that we get here.
If ur looking at buying kit here, get in touch with the guy's at Surf FX in Southport (no affiliation, just a satisfied regular customer), they will hook u up with all the right info and some quality gear. We have a great local IKO instructor if u need to brush up before hitting the water on ur own.......
Enjoy!!
