Hey there,
I´m coming to cairns in de mid of october and starting my travel along the east coast..
Want to go kiting as much as possible. will I need a wetsuit?
Maybe a shorty, a long one or just shoes?

i think the guys in cairns don't even own wetsuits. further down the coast you will need a wetty from about may to september. after that thou its definately boardshorts weather.
