I’m guessing you are driving up the coast and want to know what the wind is like: Central Qld their probably both to small, atm it’s our off season and even if we get some wind it’s likely to be offshore. On saying that this weekend looks promising but I reckon if it eventuates it will be 11-12 territory @ 75kg. You will have a better chance of catching some wind up north…

Definitely not going to get any south of Bowen, far north looks like it's been pumping for a while

yep, that's right, it would be begin of july from Brisbane to Cairns and that take a few weeks. Then I hope to catch the wind with my 12m Airush.

Thanks

Im heading up to Cairns to drive back to brisbane with a mate (who doesn't kite) over a couple of weeks. Wondering if it's worth taking the kites along for the trip?

Checked the forecast for cairns and it's humming over the weekend. how/where are the spots on the way down?

Townsville has been steady above 15knots but hardly anything over 22-22knots, unless you have a foil board and kite to go out into deeper oceans.

Most guys here are on 12m at the moment, the occasional 9 or 10 and some even on 15m.

BUT

As you head further north, especially Port Douglas and beyond - yeah 7m for sure! drooling
