saw a guy loose his cab (switchie I think) into the trees at shearwater today. felt sorry for him, didn't look pretty once he got it out of the tree. ![]()
Was it a young asain bloke? I told him to pack up and go home. it was 28-35 knots. and he was 60kilos on a 10m switchblade.
idiosa
not sure caney, Im a beginner myself 85kg with a 12m vector n even I knew it was too strong for me even if a had a smaller kite(due to my inexperience) so I was a spectator n I was only there for about 10 min or so saw him trying to get up n then his kite caught a gust n into the trees it went. from what ive read on here hes not the first. do u know common these incidence are??? some ppl say its a good place if ur a beginner and the conditions are right
also does rain (light to medium) affect the kites behavior when riding. Im on holidays atm n the weather ppl say we might get some showers for the rest of the week (seabreeze)
thanks in advance![]()
Are you the bloke i launched on a white air rush?
Who then got dragged down the beach super overpowered?
Gotta be careful man, it was windy. 12m was not the kite of choice. No matter what you think, or how much you think your kite depoweres. 7-9m was the kite of choice.
his kite was actually fine. he did the right thing by deflating the bladder and got it out no problems. he just popped the saftey by accident. Good guy, he drove me and 3 mates back to Loders after a nice downwinder
awesome, it wasn't as bad as it looked. bet he wont be doin that again. thumbs up for givin u a ride back to loders
