Where do you guys go on WSW?

Beachmere any good? Where do you go there, set up etc...?

Does anyone ride in Hay's Inlet?

Look at google maps. Anything west facing with a safe launch land area is what you need to look for. There are a few good places but if i told you i would be hung. But if you find them yourself its fair game

Didn't end up going, but seems OK down south on Bribie islands in the channel and the lagoon there. Will check out next time I go there fishing.

Beachmere is OK, I have ridden on a SW/W. A bit gusty (10-20kts). Be carefull as if it is a real Westerly then its fairly offshore - there needs to be south in it.

Hays Inlet - do you mean Woody Point? Have not ridden there but have heard it is a bit rocky/shelly bottom. Have seen some sailboarders on the Inlet (clontarf/bridge side).

cheers

Yes Woody Pt north of the jetty in ok in a SW or westerly but the launch and land is a bit sketchy and yes the bottom is not exactly clean white sand but better than nothing. Plenty of people ride there. I have seen allot of kites damaged there but then some guys have never had a problem.
