Who would have thought we would be riding westerlies a week out from Christmas. Weather must be really screwed up.

Being relatively new to Brisbane, where do you KS in the Westerlies ? I wrote the day off.

And the westerly wind was warm to!!!! the Wind in Brisbane this season has almost been non existant!!!

Ive never tried to kite westerlys in Brizzy because they are normally pretty gusty!!!

Santa please bring some epic conditions!!!!

There are a few spots kitable in a westerly. Google maps is your best friend to find out where

Westerlys + Low Pressure System + Thunderstorms + Torrential Rain....


One would ask if we will even see a season in QLD for 2010/11???

Would the southern end of Bribie work in a south westerley? any local knowledge anyone?

Bribie southern end needs local knowledge as their is strong currents and coffee rock drop off at low tide. Red beach on an incomming tide is the best bet but you chance having your car taken or entered.
If you can, let the westerlies go and wait for decent wind. I doubt you will see them again until winter.
