Hey, the road is closed for another month they reakon, however it's a 500m walk from the closure and I had the whole place to myself today.
Hey, apparently they changed their minds, went down today and they opened the point up to traffic.
It has two single lanes (seperate failed sections) under temp traffic lights. Sunday was a mess with up to 10 min delays to get out from the point area and huge traffic jams.
It is open though, but I expect a month or so before they get around to fixing the road slip at the base of the point.
The failed retaining wall is another issue altogether. I suspect there will be significant legal action related to that little gem. Depending on the results of an investigation by engineers I suspect the whole lot will be condemned and need to be pulled down.
