I will be in Brisbane on 27-November to 11 December. 2 years time on water lots of sessions but would say still novice/intermediae. Looking for places to ride in Brisbane & people to kite with. Novice/ new kiter in are am visiting & she wants learn. I'm bring 15m GK Trix 08, 11m GK Sonic 07, 8m GK-V Sonic. Boards bring 145 Caution Hustler & Liquid Force Mission 138. Both good board for me as do well in chop/surf prefer the 138 for high winds 20-30mph. I'm 5' 7 at 155-163lbs and this gear works best for me where I ride in Louisiana/Texas USA. i see may not need the 15m for time of year but might as well bring in case winds ever lite I'll have kite I need.

What is local scene like? Where should I ride & not ride? Restrictions?

Hope to hear input soon. Thanks
Ray.H

Hi Ray,

Here is a link to a list of locations around Brisbane, http://seqka.com/joomla4/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=56&Itemid=75 . You will only find flat water in Brisbane, however an hour drive north or south will get you to the surf.

The pick spots around Brisbane are probably Wellington Point (make sure you read the restrictions in the above post) to the south east or Brighton/Sandgate to the north east. If the wind is blowing you will find plenty of kiters at either.

Mark
